"Bleeding with anger"

Films: The Rage (2007)

Alias: Various, notably Dr. Viktor Vasilienko and Gor the Eater of Flesh

Type: Mutant

Location: Civilized Area/Forest

Height/Weight: Ranges from that of average vultures to that of average humans.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: Zombies! Again!!! Oh wait, this is actually a bit different. It isn't just undeath. It's anger. Burning, gory anger...okay.

History: Disillusioned with the current state of the world, the demented scientist Dr. Viktor Vasilienko created a serum that instills boundless rage and undeath in whomever comes into contact with the inherent virus. He started testing out random folk before dumping their failed corpses in the woods. Bad move, as not only has he become infected as well, but the turkey vultures that feed on the corpses have become flying zombie beasts as well. For the folks who decided to spend time in these woods, it will be a day of blood and terror.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After Vasilienko's magnum opus, the brutish Gor, is violently disposed of, the mad doctor himself is decapitated, and has his head split in half to really kill him. However, even after his lab is blown up, the people still have to put up with the massive flock of rage vultures coming at them...

Powers/Abilities: Those infected with the virus can spread it with a bite or any other form of infection. They are unstoppable, and will push through any pain to kill their targets.

Weakness: By disabling the brain, the rage victims are defeated.

Scariness Factor: 4-Sometimes, the CGI used is a joke, but holy Hell, everything else is no joking matter! Granted, some of it is played for some very dark laughs, but the sheer gore and mutilation on display is astounding. And who knew that turkey vultures could look so demonic as zombies?

Trivia: -This film was actually inspired by director Robert Kurtzman seeing a vulture display in a museum in New York City.

-Dr. Vasilienko was played by none other than Andrew Divoff, who is actually quite the philanthropist when it comes to environmental concerns. He would have hated this character, needless to say.
